During the Malayan Emergency, "Operation Firedog", 81 PR Squadron was responsible for the Aerial Surveying that would enable military operations against the insurgents. After the aircraft returned from their missions the photographs would be handed over to JAPIC. This was comprised of members of the Army Royal Corp Of Engineers and the unit was attached to 81 Squadron. JAPIC would manipulate, analyze etc. the photos and forward to the appropriate personnel. William (Bill) Dace was with Japic and supplied the following photographs.  Please click to enlarge.
