23^rd August.     Light lunch, then MRT with Beth and Chico to Joo Koon  - Taxi to Tiger Tavern for Far East Chapter of 81 Sqdn Assoc Reunion attended by Hani, Eddie, Ly, Ee Hoon(curator of the esplanade Library who has a great interest in the Heritage of 81 Sqdn through it’s mapping), Chicago and Philip (Good Mates of Hani and both ex Air Force), Beth & Chico, Yvonne & I.

Once again the Tavern looked after us wonderfully well. After some medication and a general chat about things 81 Sqdn,  we held our little non religious Moment of Remembrance for the Civilans and members of the Forces many of whom made the ultimate sacrifice and others who suffered, on the wall (fixed with Blu Tack) under the 81 Sqdn Crest and Potted History Hani, Eddie, Chico and I placed long stemmed Poppies whilst the others laid a simple Poppy.  Ee Hoon was asked to read the Ode and she jumped at the honour and certainly spoke it with passion (Her skill at presentation no doubt learnt during her time at R.A.D.A.). Hani, Eddie and Ly were resplendant in their 81 Sqdn shirts(picture 283 attachment). Interesting that some of the Public, who had completed the tour round the Tiger Production, were intrigued with our gathering and taking photos of our little Reunion. All agreed the Reunion was highly worthwhile whilst it was suggested that Hani and Eddie be entrusted with keeping it going.
