Monty Walters joined 81 Squadron as a Warrant Officer
PR Mosquito pilot in 1946. This after having served time as a Bomber Pilot in
WW2. Monty said that he had emigrated to Australia after leaving the RAF, but
the Australian Government denied this, saying that they did not have a Ball and
Chain heavy enough to slow Monty down. Seriously though, Monty is a very much
respected Member of our Association and we are pleased to exhibit some of his

Above is an excerpt from Monty's flight log and entered for a May 4, 1948 flight
to KL from Tengah it shows LAC Wes Harry as being the passenger. Wes is also one
of our Association Members. Bad weather at KL aborted the flight. Click to
